5.4 P&P Head
If the corrective maintenance is not successful or the replacement of the P&P head is needed, a
removal of the head is required. At the beginning of each sub chapter it is mentioned if a removal
is required or not.
Note:
Dismounting and remounting the head is a complex procedure. Never remove it as long as
it is not explicitly mentioned in the manual. If the head is removed, a complete re-
calibration of the machine is necessary.
The last two sub-chapters provide information for the removal and re-mounting of the head.
Please read the description very carefully and follow it step by step.
5.4.1 Head V5 Vacuum Feedthrough Cleaning / Lubricating
For the cleaning of the vacuum feedthrough, the head has not to be removed from the machine.
Tools and Material
Tools:
Set of Allen keys
Precision circlip pliers 8-13 mm, with 90° angled tips SP/TOOL-26
Auxiliary Material:
Soft and lint-free cloth
Cotton stick (Q-Tip)
SP26/MAIN 02 Conical Brush
IPA (Isopropyl alcohol)
Special grease for P&P Head SP26/HG01
Special grease for P&P Head SP26/HG04
Spareparts:
none, if necessary new circlip
