If there is repeatedly water in the liquid catchment, you have to install an air dry unit,
otherwise damages on the machine or on the Venturi system can occur.
A yellowish discoloration of the filter (2) indicates an increased oil content. In this case the
quality of the air has to be improved drastically. Oil in the air system and especially in the
nozzles will restrict the functionality and precision of the machine.
Please refer to the chapter 'Required Supplies / Consumption' in the Installation manual for
the requirement on the air quality.
4.6.5 Optical Measuring System Checking possibly Cleaning
Check / Clean Optical Measuring System X / Y / Y1
To maintain the high precision of the machine it
is essential to keep the optical measuring system
(the scales) clean. There are two scales on the Y
axis, one on each side, Y (1) and Y1 (3), and one
scale on the beam, X axis (2).
