1.4.3 Using the memory c ard
The memo ry card is used as a carrier of configurati o n data for
PROFI N ET addressing and thus simplifies bus node replace-
ment:
–PROFINETI/Odevicename
– IP address.
Note
Data stored on the card have prio rity over other confi gura-
tion data which are stored, e.g. in the bus node memory or
in the controll er syste m (see also section 2.8.1, sequence
of the start parameterisation with memory card).
Caution
Risk of malfunctions or damage.
Inserting or removing the memory card while the power
supply is switched on can result in malfunctions of or dam-
age to the memory card.
•
Disconnect the power supply before you inser t or
remove the memory card.
Replacing
the memory card
The memo ry card is under a co ver (see Fi g. 1/1). You need a
screwdriver in order to remove or attach this cover.
