2.8 Parameterisation
You can set th e reaction of the CPX terminal individually
through parameterisa ti o n. The foll o w i ng parameteri sati o n
variants are distinguished:
– System para meterisation, e.g. deactiv ati o n of error mes-

– Module para meterisation (module-specific and ch annel -
specifi c), e.g. module mo ni to ring, settings for errors, ad-
justment of debouncing times for the inputs, etc.
– Parameterisation of the di agnostic memory.
A detailed description of the individual parameters as well as
basic principles of application can be found in the CPX system
description (P.BE-CPX-SY S-..).
Parameter lists for the various CPX modules can be found in
the corresponding descriptions for the modules (P.BE-CPX-
EA-..., P.BE-CPX-AX-..., P.BE-CPX-CP-..., etc.).
Note – Module parameter in the operating mode FSU
In the “Fast Start-up” (FSU) operating mode, not all mod-
ule parameters can be set thro ugh the control software.
Use the Festo Maintenance Tool (CPX-FMT) or the operator
