2.6.6 Use MAC addressing
Use MAC addressing Besides the I P addresses, the MAC-ID of the bus node is
also available for addressing purposes (see 1 in Fig. 2/10).
The MAC-ID is located on the rati ng pl ate.

The MA C-ID is a uniform worldwide identification of each indi-
vidual Ethernet device. Th e identi fi cation consists of a “Manu-
facturer ID and a continuous identification of the Ethernet
device, e.g. 00-0E-F0-12-3A-BC. The highlighted designation
represents the “Manufacturer ID”, here Festo AG & Co. KG.
2.6.7 Determine port addresses
Determine port addresses Addresses of the input and output ports TP1 and TP2 can be
determined through the configuration table of the HW Con-
fig window, for example.
