Module Calibration
For the procedures in the subsequent sections, environmental conditions must
be within the correct limits for the type of laboratory. Make sure to exercise the
UUT range before calibration and do As Found measurements before C0 or C1
adjustments, repairs, or upgrades are made to an operational instrument.
Note that each slot in the module bay (left to right, slot 1 on left facing front
panel) has a specific number value assigned to it:
• Slot 1 = 5
• Slot 2=15
• Slot 3=25
• Slot 4=35
• Slot 5=45
Calibration of Modules in Chassis
To calibrate the modules in the chassis:
1. Zero the module.
2. Record the current C0, C1, zOffset levels that you see on the front panel
(values are rounded up. The resolution provided by the remote
communication method may be necessary).
a. Select SETUP>Module Information>Slot(n) - where (n) is the slot
number
b. Record:
• Calibration Date
• C0
• C1
• zOffset.
3. Record the current C0, C1, zOffset levels from the remote communication
via RS232 (null modem) or IEEE.
Below is an example of reading the C0 command from pressure module in slot 1:
Query Example: CAL:PRES5:DATA:VAL1?
Response: C0,-5.16999997E-02
Query Example: CAL:PRES5:DATA:VAL2?
Response: C1,1.00003004E+00
Query Example: CAL:PRES5:ZERO:VAL?
Response: +2.13499999E-03
a. Read C0 of slot
• CAL:PRES(n):DATA:VAL1? - where (n) is the correct value for slot to
be read.
b. Read C1 of slot
• CAL:PRES(n):DATA:VAL2?
