Calibration with COMPASS for Pressure
See the other guidelines for calibration at the start of this main section. In
addition:
• Use the As Found data file to determine the new C0 and C1 calibration
coefficients and calibration date.
• Limit traffic in the area during calibration. Make sure that the calibration
bench is free from environmental disturbances such as:
o drastic changes in pressure
o temperature
o humidity
o air flow and vibration from start of calibration to finish.
• Calibration must be done in the native operating mode of the PMM. The
native mode is the first letter of the range designation (A = absolute, BG or G
= gauge).
• The Product must warm up according to equipment specifications.
• Do not turn off or clear the UUT ZOFFSET. Calibration data is collected with
the zero stored in the module.
• Gauge (G) and Bi-Directional Gauge (BG) UUTs must be zeroed before data
collection.
• Absolute (A) UUTs are not zeroed before data collection.
To use a PG7000 Piston Gauge:
Set up the piston gauge per the instructions in the PG7000 Users Manual.
To use a FPG8601:
Set up the FPG and FPG tools per the instructions in the FPG8601 Users
Manual.
