Press the or button to select [Network Setup], and then press the button.

Press the or button to select [Wi-Fi], and then press the button.

Press the or button to select [WPS Setup], and then press the button.

Press the or button to select [PIN Code], and then press the button.

Write down the displayed 8-digit PIN code, or press the or button to select [Print PIN Code], and
then press the button to print the PIN code.

Press the or button to select [Start Configuration], and then press the button.
9.
Make sure that the message "Operate Wireless Router" is displayed, and then enter the PIN code into
the access point or wireless router.
The printer restarts automatically to complete the wireless connection setting.
Manually Connecting to a Wireless Network
Connect to a wireless network using the SSID of your access point or wireless router. For details about the SSID
of your access point or wireless router, contact your network administrator.
Auto SSID Setup
1.
Press the <Menu> button.
2.
Press the or button to select [Administrator Menu], and then press the button.
• If [Panel Lock] is enabled, enter the password. For details about this setting, see "Panel Lock (P.41)."
3.
Press the or button to select [Network Setup], and then press the button.
4.
Press the or button to select [Wi-Fi], and then press the button.
5.
Press the or button to select [Wi-Fi Setup], and then press the button.
The printer searches for access points or wireless routers on the wireless network.
6.
Press the or button to select the desired access point or wireless router, and then press the
button.
• If the desired access point or wireless router does not appear, proceed to "Manual SSID Setup (P.21)."
• Some SSIDs are hidden and may not be displayed. If the SSID is not detected, turn on SSID broadcast from the router.
7.
Enter the WEP key or passphrase.
• If the encryption type of the selected access point or wireless router is WEP:

Enter the WEP key, and then press the button.
• If the encryption type of the selected access point or wireless router is WPA, WPA2, or Mixed:
a
Enter the passphrase, and then press the .
• A passphrase is an encryption key and may be described on your access point or wireless router. For details, see the
manual supplied with the access point or wireless router.
The printer restarts automatically to complete the wireless connection setting.
