Deliverable Variants
When you order an ETERNUS CS800 system you choose whether you get it installed in a
rack or whether you get the single components.
If you order an ETERNUS CS800 system within a rack,
● follow the instructions in "Installing an ETERNUS CS800 Rack" on page 25,
● then perform the "Initial Configuration" on page 81.
If you order an ETERNUS CS800 system as single components,
● prepare the Installtion as described in "Preparing the Installation of ETERNUS CS800
Components" on page 37,
● perform the steps for "Installing the ETERNUS CS800 Components" on page 41,
● then perform the "Initial Configuration" on page 81.
In both cases you are asked to follow the "Environmental Conditions" below.
Fujitsu recommends installing the ETERNUS CS800 system in a controlled or restricted
area to prevent access by untrained personnel. In addition, Fujitsu recommends that
system installation be performed only by qualified IT personnel.
Environmental Conditions
The installation site must have the following environmental conditions:
● Humidity: 20% to 80% (non-condensing)
● Temperature: 50° to 95°F (10° to 35°C)
These environmental conditions apply when the ETERNUS CS800 system is in operation.
