8.1.1 Firewall
This setting should be implemented by the administrator. The outline of the
procedure will be described here.
There is a Firewall function which prevents from having external intrusions to the
FELCOM-250/500 network. The data items where the ticks are placed will be
monitored to detect and block unauthorized accesses.













1. Prohibit the routing of NBT & Microsoft-DS
Routing between NTB and Microsoft-DS will be prohibited.
2. Refuse demand of IDNET
Connection requests made from the IDNET protocol mail servers or FTP servers will
be denied. If you place a tick in this item, IDNET packets will not be received.
3. Do not respond to ping from WAN
This setting will disable responses to be made for “ping” from the WAN.
