1) Registering ID number
1. Press [F5] key to open “Station” menu.

2. Press [9] key for a nine-digit ID(MMSI), or press [8] key for a five-digit ID number.
3. Enter the ID number and press [Enter] key twice for registration
Note) To change the ID number entered, display the ID number in step 2 and
type “ID
space
CODE” in Caps-Lock (capital letters), then enter a new ID
number.
2) Registering answerback code
1. Press [F5] key to open “Station” menu. Refer to Fig. 2.1.8.
2. Press [5] key.
3. Enter an answerback code and press [Enter] key twice to register the answerback
code.
The configuration of an answerback code shall be “MMSI (nine-digit
number)+four letters+X”.
Note) To change a registered answerback code, display the answerback code in
step 2, and type “ANSWER
space
CODE” in Caps-Lock (capital letters).
After the answerback code has been deleted, register a new answerback code.
