9. “ROUTINE” or “BUSINESS” call cannot be made on DSC-60.
If Routine or Business call cannot be made with the error message “Busy: RT” on
DSC-60, check frequency selected on the transceiver.
If calling can be made using frequencies other than 2182 kHz, the problem is due to
Priority setting.
When connected to FS-5000
Set the frequency of transceiver to a frequency other than 2182 kHz, and then make a
call.
When connected to FS-2550/1562
Set system setting channel:9928 to “1: Priority to remote unit” on the transceiver.
Calling can also be made in 2182 kHz. Table below shows options on 9928.

10. Frequency indicator of MF/HF transceiver blinks or blanks.
Synthesizer circuit is faulty. Change following board.
- FS-2550/1562
1) If blinking, Tx/Rx board (05P0526) is faulty.
- FS-5000
Before changing, turn off the REF OSC board [S1] switch to use a spare oscillator.
1) If Rx frequency indication is blank, Rx board (05P0348) is faulty
2) If Tx frequency indication is blank, EXC board (05P0349) is faulty.
