11. No NBDP/DSC communication
If communication cannot be made although the system works normally: self-tests
detects no error, system setting is correct of both NBDP terminal and Radiotelephone,
connections are good, radio waves are emitted, receiver sensitivity is good;
- Change a station to be called. (Try to communicate with another station.)
- Check that frequency deviation is within ±10 Hz.
12. Changing terminal software from DP-6 to FELCOM 12
Before installing software, delete unnecessary files. For details, refer to the service
manual of IB-581.
Installation
1) Quit the terminal program.
- DP-6: Press [F2] key while holding down [Fn] and [Alt] keys.
- FELCOM 12: Press [F2] key while holding down [Fn] and [Alt] keys.
2) Return to drive A. A: >
3) Type [FORMAT A:/S]
Note: “/S” is a command for making a system file simultaneously with
formatting the designated drive A. Be sure not to forget.
4) Type [B][:] and move to drive B. B: >
5) Install terminal software.
- DP-6: Type INSTALL and press [Enter] key.
- FELCOM 12:Type IBINST and press [Enter] key.
6) Installing starts automatically.
