GBF-50 Fryer
2.07.1 Bulk Oil Management System Connections - Fresh & Waste Oil
Optional factoryinstalled fryer plumbing ready for connection to a
customersupplied Bulk Oil Management system. Depending on which
option was specified, fittings on rear of unit can be directly connected to
either, fresh oil supply system, waste oil discharge system, or both. The
ports are plugged if option(s) are not installed. On a banked fryer system,
these connections service all fry vats. When connecting fryer to such bulk
systems, closely follow installation guidelines of the system’s
manufacturer.
When fresh oil supply system is connected, the system oil pump must be
wired into the “ADD OIL” pushbutton switch on the fryer control panel
(main unit of a banked system). Pressing and holding this button operates
the fresh oil system pump to fill vat, or topoff oil level.
When bulk waste oil collection system is connected, waste oil will be
pumped to it by the fryer’s onboard filter pump. To prevent possible
pump damage, an internal pressure switch will stop pump operation in the
event of blockage, clog, or excessive backpressure.
Use of quickconnect/disconnect couplings is recommended to facilitate
moving the appliance for cleaning and service activities.
IMPORTANT!
All materials (pipe, fittings, electrical, etc.) and labor necessary for
connecting fryer to Bulk Oil System is provided by the customer and not
included with the purchase of these options.

2.07.2 On-Board Fresh Oil Supply System
Optional factoryinstalled onboard system uses a removable ”saddlebag
style” storage tank, which hangs on fryer side and connects to the fresh oil
inlet via flexible hose. The amount of fresh oil supply in the tank must be
manually maintained by the user. When low oil level in the vat is indicated by
the controller, pressing & holding the [ADD OIL] pushbutton switch on the
control panel pumps fresh oil from the tank to the cook vat ... switch must be
held for pump to operate ... hold until oil level is replenished.
On a banked fryer system, the single tank supplies all fry vats.
Connection to a bulk fresh oil supply system is the alternative to this onboard
system option ... [ADD OIL] pushbutton will control bulk oil pump.
This option cannot be equipped when using the bulk fresh oil supply option.
