FRYER HEATING SLOW or SLOW
RECOVERYTIME
Heat light stays [ON] ... does not
cycle ON/OFF
A. Incorrect cooking procedures
B. Element beginning to fail
C. Contactor beginning to fail
D. Loose wiring
E. Low supply voltage
A. Consult operations manual for
proper procedure
B. Replace faulty element
C. Replace faulty contactor
D. Inspect/repair wiring
E. Confirm proper supply voltage
FRYER HEATS SLOW; Short Cycling
Heat light OFF & ON
CONTINUOUSLY.
A. Low supply voltage
B. Variable probe touching element
C. Faulty controller
A. Confirm proper supply voltage
B. Reposition variable probe
C. Replace controller
OIL TEMPERATURE ERRATIC:
A. Faulty variable probe
B. Contactor beginning to fail
C. Faulty controller
D. Loose wiring
A. Replace probe
B. Replace contactor
C. Replace Controller or Digital
Thermostat.
D. Inspect/repair wiring.
OIL SMOKING: A. Old cooking oil, used too long
B. Temperature too high
C. Dirty element

C. Clean elements, use Lbend brush
