Chapter 5 FUNCTION SETTINGS AND OPERATIONS
5.7 Assigning THICK Mode
This function allows you to assign the THICK mode to COND Nos. 1 to 8. THICK mode is used for cutting
thick media such as masking rubber for sandblasting, thick pattern paper for apparel design as well as for
hardmediasuchasacryliclm.
(1) Press the [PAUSE] key to select PAUSE mode.
(2) Press the
[NEXT] key repeatedly until the following menu is displayed.

(3) Press the [F2] key (TOOL COND) to display the menu shown below.

(5) Press the [F2] key (THICK No.) to display the THICK mode assignment setting screen.

Blinking cursor
The upper row of the display represents the cutting condition COND Nos. A check mark [ ] is displayed for any of
the COND. Nos. to which THICK mode has been assigned.
Use the [ ] or [ ] key to move the blinking cursor to the COND. No. that you want to assign THICK mode to, and
the [ ] or [ ] key to display or hide the check mark [ ].
Press the [ENTER] keytoconrmyourselection.
(6) Press the
[PAUSE] key to cancel PAUSE status.
(7) When THICK mode has been assigned to a condition number, the blinking cursor appears over the Tool No. when
the plotter is in Ready status.

THICK mode is disabled when "PEN" or "CP-001" has been selected as the cutter blade type.
