6.11 Grab Sample Menu
The Grab Sample menu allows the operator to analyze a specific sample
other than the online stream. During Grab sample analysis, the analyzer will
automatically go offline, analyze the sample connected to the calibration port,
then purge with stream sample and go back online. The result of the grab
sample is only available in a grab sample screen.
Grab sample analysis is performed
with the analyzer offline.
1. Press ENTER. A screen showing the result of the last grab sample
analysis is displayed.
2. To begin analysis of the sample, press ENTER. A prompt screen is
now displayed.
3. Place the Calibration Port tube in the sample to be measured. Press
ENTER and the Grab Sample analysis screen is displayed.
As the analysis progresses, the TOC value will change.
The time remaining to complete the analysis (54 seconds in this example)
will continue to countdown. This time is determined by the Pre span period.
See section 5.2.4.2 on page 72. Following this countdown, the stability is
tested before determining the result.
When the analysis is completed, the screen changes to the normal single
sample report screen for ten seconds.
The analyzer then purges with stream sample and goes online after the purge
period is completed.
