TC Conversion—With Dilution
Refer to Figure 56 on page 150 and perform the following steps:
1. Remove the acid pump tube.
2. Remove the acid pump barbs and replace with ¼-28 blank plugs from
start-up kit.
3. Remove the overflow tube from top of sparger and from GLS.
4. Insert luer adapter and PTFE filter from the start-up kit into the top of the
sparger block.
Important Note:There are two different port depths on the analyzer. If the port on your
analyzer is 9.9 mm (0.39 in.) deep, remove the ferrule with the metal ring from the
discarded overflow tube 3. Insert this ferrule into the sparger port yellow side
down before screwing in the luer adapter (see Figure 57 on page 151).
5. Remove ¼-28 blank plug.
6. Create a new overflow tube from the spare parts in the start-up kit.
a. Using the PFA pipe with the larger 1.5 mm (0.06 in.) bore, cut a new
tube 950 mm (37.4 in.) long.
b. Add a ¼-28 nut and ferrule at the sparger end (see Detail A in
Figure
57 on page 151
).
c. Add the
1
/8” white compression fitting from the discarded overflow
tube at the GLS end.
d. Route the new tube through the rubber grommet in the bottom of the
pump chassis. The new tube should run from the GLS to where the
blank plug was removed.
e. Carefully route the new overflow tube so that it does not hinder the
rotation of the pump motor fan blades.
7. Remove the flow element (black slotted device).
8. Remove the O-ring from the bottom of the flow element block.
9. Replace O-ring with the rubber disc from the start-up kit.
10. Replace the flow element.
