5.2.1.4 Range Select Screen
The analyzer can operate so that a mapped analog stays in one of four
ranges or it can autorange. The ranges represent the behavior of the current
(4–20 mA) outputs, not the capability of the analyzer.
For example, if you have a 0 to 1000 mg/L analyzer:
You may choose to lock the analyzer into one of these fixed ranges or you
may use the full range (autoranging).
This will only be applicable only if an analog output is mapped to mg/L.
Autoranging:
If autorange is selected, the analyzer will automatically vary the 4–20 mA
mg/L signal as described in section 5.2.1.3 on page 65. Enter the Autorange
screen from the Range change screen by pressing the UP button.
If you choose to autorange, map one of the analog outputs to one of the three
TOC output options and the other to Range ID. The analog output mapped to
Range ID will identify the present range of the analog output being used to
represent the mg/L reading.
If you have a 0 to 2000 mg/L analyzer, these range IDs are:
You must observe both analog outputs to determine the measurement.
For example, if output 1 is mapped to mg/L and the reading is 12 mA, and
output 2 is mapped to Range ID and the reading is 8 mA, the measurement
represents 250 mg/L.

Range 3 0 to 500 mg/L
