4.4.4.1 PA Cabinet Rear Door Interlock Configuration
Since there are no dangerous voltages exposed, the rear door of the PA Cabinet may be
opened briefly while the cabinet is ON without affecting the on-air signal. When the
door is opened, the rear door fan stops, disabling the cooling system. The cabinet and
PA Module temperature will begin to rise. After 2 minutes, the Cabinet Controller will
shut down the cabinet. Closing the rear door re-starts the rear door fan and cancels the 2
minute shut-down timer.
The PA Cabinet interlock function configurations and actions of the rear door opening
can be changed through dip switch S3. Refer to the schematic and to Table 4-1 for more
information.

When rear door is opened, fan shuts off, but modules
continue to run for 2 minutes, then shut off.
In Life Support Mode 2 minute timer is disabled. If rear door is
opened, modules will continue to operate until they over-temp.
ON Cabinet shuts off immediately when rear door is opened
NOTE: Changes to switch settings S3-6 thru S3-8 may not affect operation until the controller is re-
booted. To re-boot, remove the PA Cabinet AC power for approximately 10 seconds and then re-apply.
