Section 1 Incoming Inspection
x Inspect the package exterior for evidence of damage due to
handling in transit. Notify the carrier and Pioneer Magnetic
immediately if damage is evident. Do not destroy or remove any of
the packing material used in a damaged shipment.
x Verify that the "Acceptance Test Procedure" is included in the
package.
x After unpacking, perform a visual inspection. Reject the power
supply if there is any visible mechanical damage. If possible, take
pictures of the damaged power supply for records.
Section 2 Installation Cautions
The output voltage and current of the Power Supply is hazardous to
untrained personnel. Exercise caution when connecting and
energizing the power supply.
Section 3 Environmental
The power supply is intended for use in commercial and industrial
controlled environments and is designed to meet UL requirements
for Pollution Degree 2. A reasonably dust-proof enclosure is
recommended.
Section 4 Installation Procedure
x The power supply is configured with mounting holes on the bottom
and on one side.
x Six inches of clearance (front and rear) is recommended to
maintain adequate forced Air Cooling.
x Refer to Harris transmitter manual for your transmitter. Section
5.3.2 for Diamond transmitter and Section 5.4 for Ranger
transmitter. Note replacement power supply input is selectable for
240 or 480VAC. Verify supply is wired correctly for your AC voltage
before use. Refer to section 5 of Pioneer documentation or the
Appropriate Harris documentation.
