2.2 Connecting the Power Cord
To avoid electrical accidents and to maintain the safety specifications of this
instrument, connect the power cord provided only to a 3-contact (two-conduc-
tor + ground) outlet.
To avoid damaging the power cord, grasp the plug, not the cord, when unplug-
ging it from the power outlet.
To eliminate noise, the instrument needs to be set to match the line frequency.
Before operating, set the instrument to the frequency of your commercial
power. If the power supply frequency is not set properly, measurements will be
unstable.
See "2.5 Selecting the Line Frequency" ( p.20).
Make sure the power is turned off before connecting or disconnecting the
power cord.

Rear Panel
1. Confirm that the instrument's main power
switch (rear panel) is off (
).
2. Check that the power supply voltage (100
V to 240 V) is correct, and connect the
power cord to the power inlet socket on
the rear of the instrument.
3. Plug the power cord into the AC outlet.
