4) Using the special tool, compress the valve spring and set
the two valve keepers in the groove in the valve stem as
shown.
• To facilitate installation of the valve keepers, apply a
small amount of grease to the valve keepers and push
them in the groove in the valve stem.
TOOL:
Valve spring compressor 07757-0010000
5) Tap the valve stem head lightly with a plastic hammer two
or three times, and set the valve stem and valve keepers in
the proper position securely.
• Tap each valve stem head straight down. Take care not to
bend the valve.
• Support the cylinder head with an engine table or
equivalent to prevent damage to the valve.
