1. POWER TRIM/TILT ASSEMBLY
[POWER TRIM/TILT TYPE ONLY]
a. REMOVAL
Remove the following parts.
- Engine cover (P. 4-2)
- Electric parts cover (P. 18-19)
1) Raise the outboard motor to the uppermost position by
operating the power tilt switch, and hold the outboard
motor in the position.
Secure the outboard motor using the tilt stopper.
Remove the ECM (P. 7-6).
2) Drain the gasoline from the vapor separator and the fuel
strainer (low pressure side).
Lift up the outboard motor using a hoist, then place the
outboard motor on its right side (with the intake manifold
side toward down).
3) Disconnect the power tilt motor 2P connector.
4) Remove the DLC (Data Link Connector) from the fuse box
bracket, and remove the main wire harness' harness band
clip from the electric part case.
Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive.
You can be burned or seriously injured when handling fuel.
• Keep heat, sparks and flame away.
• Wipe up spills immediately.
• Handle fuel only outdoors.
