3. PROPELLER SHAFT HOLDER
ASSEMBLY
a. REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1) Remove the propeller (P. 11-2).
2) Remove the two 8 x 30 mm bolt washers.
3) Insert a screwdriver or equivalent tool into the recesses in
the propeller shaft holder and remove the propeller shaft
holder assembly from the gear case.
Installation is the reverse order of removal. Note the following.
• Check the propeller shaft thrust clearance after installation (P.
11-8).
• Perform gear case pressure check after installation (P. 11-45).
