6) Apply engine oil to a new pump cover O-ring and install it
on the oil pump assembly.
7) Pour 0.005 of engine oil into the rotor chamber [suction
side] of the oil pump assembly.
9) Tighten the four 6 x 55 mm flange bolts securely.

e. INSTALLATION
Install the cylinder head assembly on the outboard motor (P. 9-
29).
8) Install the oil pump assembly on the cylinder head
assembly while aligning the projection on the oil pump
shaft with the recess in the camshaft.
• Install quickly with care not to spill the engine oil from the
oil pump assembly.
