4) Remove the seven 6 x 35 mm flange bolts, and remove the cylinder head cover.
• Oil leaks out when the cylinder head cover is removed.
Catch the leaking oil with a shop towel and a suitable container, and wipe up the spilled oil.
5) Remove the head cover gasket from the cylinder head cover.
Replace the head cover gasket with a new one on reassembly.
Check the head cover gasket for damage or deformation, and replace it with a new one if necessary.
