4 .4 FRONT WHEEL
The front whee l axle and the ax le nut assemble
the cast aluminum
alloy hub with the cast brake drum
and t wo 6302R ball bearing with the fr ont br ake panel
consisting
of brake s ho es and a speedometer gea r.
When the brake is appl ie d, the reaction is trans-
mi t ted to the fron t fork by the bra ke pane l stopper.
A labyr inth is inco r po rat ed in the br ake pane l and
the wheel hub to prevent the entry of wate r and dust
in
to the hub interior. Ti re si ze 2.25-17 -4 PR is used.
a . Disassemb ly
(]) Pl ace an adequate stand under the engine to
ra1se the front w h eel.
( 21 Remove the fron t brake cab le and the speedo -
meter cab le.
(31 Remove the axle nut and pull out the front w h eel
axle , then the front whee l and the fro nt bra ke
panel can be remo ved as a unit.
(41 The brake shoe is fixed in pla ce with the brake
shoe spri ng; the r efo re spread the brake shoes
apa rt and r emove from the panel. (Fig. 4- 18)
