Oi l Br and an d Grade
Honda ultra oil is re co mmended. The grade of oil
for the season is sh own o n the R. crankcase lo ver .
When the Honda ultra oil is not available, use the
oil co rre sponding to MS. DG or DM in the A.P.I.
service classification.

3. GREASING
· 1. Lubrication
Apply grease to all grease nipples with grea se
gun un t il the grease is forced out at the clearances .

C. DRIVE CHAIN ADJUSTMENT
An excessively s lack drive chai n will cause cho ir:
to wh ip, whereas an over-tension condition wi ll pro du ce
resistance, resulting in lowering the p owe r output a·
the rear wheel. Always maintain the chain at the
specified tension.
1. Tension Checking Procedure
a. Remove the inspection cove r on the chain ca se
and check to see if the total vertical slack o=
the chain is between 1 -2 cm 10.40-0 . 78 in.

b. Perform adjustment by loosening the axle r v-
and sleeve nut and then adjust with the ad ju~e 
nut. (F i g. 6-34 )
Tu rn to the right to decrease chain slack.
Turn to
the left to inc rea se chain slack.
