The function
of
the muffler is
to
muffle
the
noise
of
the exhaust gases as
it
is emi
tted
from
the com-
bustion chamber. In the
pr
ocess, the
carbon
particles
in the gas accumulates
on
the muff
ler
and
the
diffuser
pipe
. Excess ac
cum
ulat
ion
of
the c
arbon
will
restrict
the
now
of
the exhaust gas, creating
back
pressure
which
effects the engine
perfo
rmance by
lowe
ring the
po
wer
output.

SPOKE
TORQUING
Riding
with
lo
o
se
spoke
will
place
on
ununiform
loading
on
the rim os

ll as
on
the remaining spokes,
therefore
, the spokes should
be
inspected
frequen
tl
y
and
retorqued
when
they
become
loo
se.
Raise
the
wheel
off
the
ground
and
check
each
s
poke
for
tightness, any spoke w hich
are
noticeably
loose
should
be
torqued
to
the
same value as
the
remaining spokes so
that
the spokes
are
all
of
uniform
torque.

nipple
tool
and
t
orquing
wren

h.
