a . Air cleaner Co ns truc ti on
The funct ion of the a·r cl eaner is to clean by
filtering, al l air enter ing the en gine throu gh the
carbu retor and pre vent the piston and cylinder from
wear caused by dust and gr i·. Ac etate fiber filter is
used
for fi l te r element and the su rfac e area made
lar ge as possible to pro vide an efficie nt air int ake .
The a
ir cleane r is mou nted a the center of th e
fron t cover for models C50, C 50 M, C6 5 and C65M
and at the center of the frame on the ri ght hand side
for models S50 and 565 . All a ir entering the air
cleaner is fil tered, passes through the w elded air
cl eaner pipe with in the frame and after passing through
the air cleaner rubber co nnecting tube, enters the
carbu retor.
The
la r ge si ze tube used in the C50, C50M, C65,
C65M,
is to provid e good air now and to heat the
ai r as well as to minimize noise produced by air flow.

b . Disassembly
Ill The air cleaner of mode ls C50 , C50M, C65 and
C65M can be removed by loo sening the cap nut
at the top of the air cl eaner cov er. (Fig. 4- 48)

Reassembly
I ll Reassemble the air cl eaner in tlfe reverse order
of disassembly.
4 . 1 0 FRAME BODY
The frame body of C50 , C50M, C65 and C65M,
differ from models S50 and S65 in tha t it consi sts
of s teel pipe and pressed steel sheets, assembl ed
by we lding. The sectional contour changes in places to
su pport load and to prevent stress concentrat i on, and
is made stro ng and light in we ight.

w heel pivot and the angle formed by the h ead pi pe
and the fra me pe rf or ms an im portant f un ct ion as
a bas
