area free of oil or for eign matter and install

ight be fo re torquing wi th a plug wre n ch .

be tested after adjustment,
with the plug tester. With the high tension vo ltage
maintained constant, vary the test chamber pres-
su re and inspect the condition of the spark.
6. FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM
Rest r iction in the fuel supply system will preve nt
·su ff icient fuel fl ow to the carbu r eto r and cause engine
to
sp utter during ac ce lerati on or the engine may stall
at high speed.
a. Check
for sufficient supp ly of fuel in the tank.
b. Disconnect the
fuel feed tu be from the c arburetor
and check the fuel flow wi th the fuel cock in the
ON or the RE S posi tio n. (Fig. 6-15)
c. If the fuel flow is insuffici en t, remove the f uel tank
from the body and clean internally. Wh en the
flow is still inadequate, r emove the fuel cock ,
disassemble
and clean.
(Caution)
