2. FLASHI NG TROUB LE AN D CORRECTIVE
ACTION
11 Burned out bulb
Cause : Similar to the h ead light bulb; due to
high voltage generated dur ing rid ing.
Cor rect ive action : Replace wi th new bulb.
1 21 P oor socket contact
Couse : Uneven height of the socket or bulb
cont acts.
Corrective action : Fi le the hi gher contact to
provide a uniform pressure
at all the contacts.

1 31 The above 1 and 2 will cause on ly the troubled
li ght to be affected, however, when both t he
front and rear bulbs fail to l ight, it is an i ndica- .
lion of a defect ive turn s ign al switch or a break in
the flashing circui t. L ocate the trouble and repa ir.
5.8 HEADLIGHT
The purpose of the headlight is to provide safe
riding at night, therefo re, make sure that the follow -
ing conditions are adequate .
