Determining the IP Address
Many computer networks contain a DHCP server that sets the IP (internet protocol) address of
the rack automatically. This number is necessary to establish communication with the rack. The
address is available by running a command prompt, the ipconfig command as shown in Figure
8-10. Note that the Vertex M has two Ethernet interfaces: the address of External_Ethernet is
the relevant one, as shown in the image below.
