Port Status and Configuration
Using Friendly (Optional) Port Names
Syntax: [no] module <slot>
Allows removal of the module configuration in the configura-
tion file after the module has been removed. Enter an integer
between 1 and 12 for <slot>.
For example:
ProCurve(config)# no module 3
Note This does not change how hot-swap works.
Operating Notes
The following restrictions apply:
â– The slot being cleared must be empty
â– There was no module present in the slot since the last boot
â– If there was a module present after the switch was booted, the switch will
have to be rebooted before any module (new or same) can be used in the
slot.
â– This does not clear the configuration of a module still in use by the switch.
