3. Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
4. If the server is installed in an enclosure or a rack, remove the server and place it on a flat, level work surface.
5. Remove the access panel.
6. Remove the air baffle and all components that block access to the heatsink and processor.
7. Allow all internal system components to cool before continuing.
8. CAUTION:CAUTION:
Heatsink screws must be tightened and loosened in alternating sequence. Do not overtighten the screws as this might
damage the system board or the processor socket.
Use a T-30 Torx screwdriver to loosen one pair of diagonally opposite heatsink screws (callouts 1 and 2), and then loosen the other pair
of heatsink screws (callouts 3 and 4).
9. Set the anti-tilt wires to the unlocked position.
