4. Place the NVMe drive backplane on an appropriate ESD surface.
Replacing an NVMe drive backplane in the 9080-M9S system
To replace an NVMe drive backplane in the system, complete the steps in this procedure.
Procedure
1. Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap on and that the ESD clip is plugged
into a ground jack or connected to an unpainted metal surface. If not, do so now.
2. If necessary, remove the NVMe drive backplane from the antistatic package.
3. Place the NVMe drive backplane on an appropriate ESD surface.
4. To install the NVMe drive backplane, complete the following steps:
a) Slide the NVMe drive backplane (A) into the system until it is seated.
b) Press the NVMe backplane latch (B) in the direction that is shown in the following îš³gure until it
locks in place.
c) Insert and tighten the thumbscrew (E).
