One DS4800 and eight storage expansion enclosures
If you are cabling one DS4800 Storage Subsystem to eight storage expansion
enclosures of the same type, it is recommended that you evenly divide the
enclosures between the ports of two redundant dual-ported drive channel pairs,
instead of connecting in groups of up to four storage expansion enclosures behind
certain ports of the two redundant drive channel pairs. Figure 52 illustrates the
cabling topology for one DS4800 Storage Subsystem attached to eight storage
expansion enclosures.
