installation planning
Before the IBM service representative can set up your environment, you must verify that the prerequisite
conditions for system installation are met.
SAN Volume Controller 2145-SV1 environment requirements
Before the SAN Volume Controller 2145-SV1 is installed, the physical environment must meet certain
requirements. This includes verifying that adequate space is available and that requirements for power
and environmental conditions are met.
Input-voltage requirements
Ensure that your environment meets the voltage requirements that are shown in Table 25 on page 147.

Maximum power requirements for each node
Ensure that your environment meets the power requirements as shown in Table 26 on page 147.
The maximum power that is required depends on the node type and the optional features that are
installed.
