5. Reinstall the hard disk drives and filler panels (see “Replacing hot-swap hard
disk drives” on page 144).
6. Reinstall the cover (see “Replacing the cover” on page 127).
7. Slide the server into the rack.
8. Reconnect the power cords and any cables that you removed.
9. Turn on the peripheral devices and the server.

Use this information to remove a simple-swap hard disk drive backplate.
About this task
To remove a simple-swap hard disk drive backplate assembly, complete the
following steps:
Note: The ten 2.5-inch simple-swap hard disk drive model is not supported.
Procedure
1. Read the safety information that begins on “Safety” on page vii and
“Installation guidelines” on page 122.
2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords.
3. Remove the cover (see “Removing the cover” on page 126).
4. Remove the filler panels from the drive bay.
