5. Reconnect the operator information panel assembly cable to the operator
information panel assembly. This step applies to all types of server
configurations.
6. Reinstall the cover (see “Replacing the cover” on page 127).
7. Slide the server into the rack.
8. Reconnect the power cords and any cables that you removed.
9. Turn on the peripheral devices and the server.
Removing the LCD system information display panel
Use this information to remove the LCD system information display panel.
About this task
To remove the LCD system information display panel, complete the following
steps.
Note: The LCD system information display panel is available only in the ten
2.5-inch hot-swap hard disk drive server configuration.
Procedure
1. Read the safety information that begins on “Safety” on page vii and
“Installation guidelines” on page 122.
2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and
all external cables, if necessary.
3. Remove the cover (see “Removing the cover” on page 126).
4. Remove the media cage (see “Removing the media cage” on page 222).
5. Disconnect the cable from the back of the LCD system information display
panel.
6. Pull the tab on the LCD retention latch to the left to disengage the LCD system
information display panel; then carefully remove the assembly.
7. If you are instructed to return the LCD system information display panel,
follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping
that are supplied to you.
