1. Read the safety information in “Safety” on page vii and “Installation
guidelines” on page 35.
2. Make sure that all cables, adapters, and other components are installed and
seated correctly and that you have not left loose tools or parts inside the server.
Also, make sure that all internal cables are correctly routed.
3. If you removed the upper and lower bezels, reinstall them before you replace
the side cover (see “Replacing the lower bezel” on page 190 and “Replacing the
upper bezel” on page 192).
4. Position the lip at the bottom edge of the side cover on the ledge at the bottom
of the chassis; then, rotate the cover up to the chassis. Press down on the cover
release latch and push the cover into the chassis until it latches securely into
place.
5. Lock the side cover.
6. Reconnect the external cables and power cords; then, turn on the attached
devices and turn on the server.
