RECEIVE AND TRANSMIT
■ Operating in the RTTY (FSK) mode
When using your PC, RTTY terminal or TNC, consult
the manual that comes with the equipment.
Hold down q
F-INP ENT
BAND
for 1 second, then push a
band key to select the desired band.
Push w
MODE
to select the RTTY mode.
• Hold down
MODE
for 1 second to toggle between the
RTTY and RTTY-R modes.
Rotate e [DIAL] to tune in a desired signal.
• The S-meter displays received signal strength.
• If the received signal cannot be demodulated, try se-
lecting the opposite mode (RTTY or RTTY-R).
Transmit a SEND signal from your PC or terminal. r
• “ ” appears.
• The PO meter displays the transmitted output power.
Use the PC or TNC (TU) to transmit RTTY (FSK) t
signals.
Band keys

Appears while transmitting.
