Quick Start Procedures
The objective of this section is to supply a highly experienced cable installer with
enough information to perform an Autotest on a twisted pair cable. For more
detailed information refer to Next Steps, page 1-7.
Power-up
Power-up the Display Handset by pressing the On/Off key.
Note: The Remote Handset will be powered up automatically by the Display Handset
when the test begins.
Self-Test
When the LANTEK Tester is turned on, it displays a Self-Test In Progress
message and performs a quick self-test. An alert message is displayed if the
self-test determines that calibration or repair is necessary.
