Baery inspection and cleaning
Disconnect baery connecting plug before carrying out the tests.
Baeries must be periodically inspected for checking that there are no
damages, breakages, uid leakages or terminal corrosion. Also inspect
cables looking for breakages, cuts or fraying.
Always clean baeries that show signs of corrosion on terminals or
onto which electrolytic uid has fallen during lling.
Always clean terminal contact surfaces, lubricate with antacid grease
or vaseline.
The baery uid is highly corrosive and can cause severe injuries; if
it is poured unintentionally, wash objects or surfaces with abundant
water.
If the acid comes into contact with the skin, wash immediately with
abundant water and consult a doctor.
Always wear gloves and goggles during baery maintenance.
Keep open ames, cigarees, sparks or any other ammable source
away from baeries.
Emergency lowering check
Make sure that there are no obstacles under the platform before
executing this control
•Li platform.
•Carry out operations indicated in the section “Emergency lowering”
checking the correct operation of the emergency lowering.
