To ensure correct programming of the ESP control unit (or Body Computer), the following parameters are important:
● vehicle configuration (van, truck, camper,...);
● wheelbase;
● GVW;
● type of suspension;
● type of gearbox/transmission
● wheel circumference;
● retarder (if equipped).
▶ Every variation of one or more of these parameters requires re-programming of the ESP control
unit (or Body Computer) or the functional degrading of the system.
Note
Reprogramming the control unit or derating of the ESP system must exclusively be performed by the IVECO Assistance Service.
