19 Destroy the bearing cage by cutting it at four points
above the rollers. Take care not to damage the seal
surface

20 Separate the cage using a screwdriver then discard
the cage and rollers

Cut the bearing support (078) with a flat chisel and
extract it using a flat screwdriver.

21 Extract the inner race (074) from the bearing. It may
be necessary to apply a little heat to the lip seal which
will then be destroyed

Assembly
Check the lip seal contact surface on the shaft, the
condition of the splines and the lip seal contact surface on
the bearing support.
1 Install the lip seal (072) in the bearing support using
the correct mandrel. Take off the spring to assist in
positioning the seal. Check that the seal is properly
positioned in the bottom of its groove
