17 Install the thrust ring (076). Whilst applying the press
force, install the snap ring (077) with the sharp corner
opposite the thrust ring

Check that it is not possible to turn the thrust ring by
hand. Check also that the snap ring outer diameter is
not larger than the thrust ring.
18 Install the lip seal on its support using the correct
mandrel. Take off the spring to position the seal
