System Startup and

Shutdown

System Startup

The System includes the Scanner and a Computer Workstation. Both

units must be ON to function properly. To start the system, do the

following:

1. Power up the Scanner: press the ON button on the

Main Control Box. The POWER indicator on the

Main Control Box and Scanner light.

2. Power up Computer Workstation: press the

power button on the front of the Workstation. The

computer boots and loads the operating system.

3. Launch Vision Software: double-click theVision

icon on Workstation desktop. The Vision software

application is launched.

NOTE: Although the system is now ready to scan, the

Ready indicator does not illuminate until the Acquire

button is pressed to start a scan.

System Shutdown

The Scanner and Computer Workstation are powered independently.

Both units are powered OFF as described below.

To shut down the system:

1. From the Main menu on the Computer Workstation, select

File > Exit. Vision closes but the Windows desktop remains ON.
