29 Travel in the elevator car to the topmost
floor.
30 Make a car call to the bottom floor and
go to
the landing. Stop the elevator at a
suitable position by operating the
emergency opening key.
Elevator car roof must be at a suitable
height for safe moving between it and
the topmost floor landing.
31 Go to the elevator car roof. 1. Open the landing door with
emergency opening ke
y.
2. Standing on the landing, press the
stop
switch.
3. Standing on the landing, switch on
the inspection drive.
4.
Go to the elevator car roof.
5. Close the landing doors.
6. Check that the landing door is
mechan
ically locked.
32 Check that the top buffers are in good
condition.
Polyuret
hane buffers: check that there
are no cracks or powdering.
33 Make notes of the test. After completing all tests, record the test
date
and all results in the elevator’s log
book at once.
34 Go to the landing. 1. Slowly open the landing door so that
no one step
s in from the landing
thinking that the elevator car has
arrived.
2. Check that no one can enter the shaft
from the landing.
3. Go to the landing.
4. Release the stop switch.
5. Switch off the inspection drive.
6. Close the landing doors.
7. Check that the landing door is
mechan
ically locked.
